Panic! At The Disco’s Brendon Urie Comes Out as Pansexual

After being a champion for the LGBTQ community for years, Panic! At The Disco frontman Brendon Urie is opening up about his own sexuality.

“I’m married to a woman and I’m very much in love with her but I’m not opposed to a man because to me, I like a person,” Urie, 31, said in a new interview with Paper magazine. “Yeah I guess you could qualify me as pansexual because I really don’t care. If a person is great, then a person is great. I just like good people, if your heart’s in the right place. I’m definitely attracted to men. It’s just people that I am attracted to.”

He continued, “I guess this is me coming out as pansexual.”

Urie and his wife, Sarah Orzechowski — who met when Panic! was on tour in 2008 — tied the knot in 2013.

The singer also addressed the #MeToo movement, saying that men need to take action.

“The thing that sucks that I think, is that a lot of guys don’t speak up,” Urie told the mag. “They don’t want to snitch and I’m like, ‘Motherf–ker, snitch!’ Those guys aren’t your friends, they’re not good people. They are doing terrible things, tell people about it. Don’t protect your friend.”

Urie, who rose to fame when he was just 17 years old, says that when he was young, he “absolutely” experienced moments when he felt he was taking advantage of his power.
