Nancy Danae

Born and raised in the San Fernando Valley in California, Nancy Danae knew at a young age that she would pursue a career in the entertainment business, specifically in radio and television.  .

In her freshman year at California State University of Northridge, she declared her major in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Spanish Language. The first time she stepped foot into a studio and news room was during college as the sports reporter on KCSN 88.5 FM and as a news reporter for CSUN’s Valley View News. She often relied on late nights and early mornings to accomplish all of her tasks, but was confident in her choices. The 23-year-old of Mexican descent was beyond proud to be the first in her family to not only attend college but to graduate with a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism Spring 2016.

During her time in college, she started an internship at Power 106 alongside L.A. radio icons like J Cruz, Justin Credible, and Krystal Bee. She was hired as a Flava Unit member at Power 106 after completing two semesters as an intern. Her three years with the company led her to becoming one of the most requested MCs on the team: hosting events, dances, basketball games and club events for Power and remained a team lead during big events and station concerts.

Kemp Broadcasting is thrilled to Welcome Nancy Danae to the Q 106.9 family. They are more than excited to be a part of Danae’s new chapter and help broaden her experience and knowledge in the radio industry. Kemp Broadcasting is proud to announce that Nancy Danae will be the new afternoon jock on Q 106.9 KVGQ every weekday from 12PM-6PM.
