Nancy Danae

Born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, California, Nancy Danae knew at a young age that she would pursue a career in the entertainment business, specifically in radio and television.

Nancy Danae attended California State University of Northridge. Her freshmen of college, she declared her major in Broadcast Journalism and minor in Spanish. The first time she stepped foot into a studio was during college as the sports reporter on KCSN 88.5 FM. She was also gained experience in the newsroom as a news reporter for CSUN’s Valley View News. She often relied on late nights and early mornings to accomplish all of her tasks but was confident in her choices.

During her time in college, she started an internship at Power 106 alongside Los Angeles radio icons like J Cruz, Justin Credible, and Krystal Bee. After completing two semesters as an intern at Power 106, she was hired as a Flava Unit member. Her three years with the company led her to become one of the most requested MCs on the team. She hosted events, dances, basketball games and club events for Power while remaining a team lead during big events and station concerts.

All the while attending California State University of Northridge, Nancy Danae was able to kick-start her career in the radio industry. Being a successful asset to Power 106 on the Flava Unit and a top requested MC was not the only accomplishments she achieved. In Spring of 2016, the 25-year-old of Mexican descent was beyond proud to be the first in her family to not only attend college but to graduate with a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism.

On behalf of Kemp Broadcasting, we are thrilled to welcome Nancy Danae to the Q 106.9 family! We are more than excited to be a part of Nancy’s new chapter and help broaden her experience and knowledge in the radio industry.
